How My Story Has Influenced My Passion…

This can’t really be my life!

Have you ever uttered those words? I have.
In the moments when a nightmare became my reality, I had a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that this really was my life!
My dreams didn’t come true. My reality wasn’t what I hoped, dreamed, or imagined. In fact…in my wildest dreams, I never could have imagined the horror story I was living in. It was the most difficult thing I have ever walked through.
Can you relate? Have you been there? Do you have a story?
Through my story and the stories God wrote in His love letter to me {The Bible}, I have learned that God has a way of using the difficult parts of my life as an opportunity for Him to reveal His dreams for my life that are bigger, wider and more amazing than I could have dreamed up on my own.
My story lead me down a path I could not imagine. It was rocky and messy, but now that path is a path I love.  Why? Because I get to invest in women like you. Women whose stories didn’t end up with happily ever after.  Women who have encountered a few unexpected chapters in life, and women who desire to navigate these unexpected chapters with grace and truth.  I would not have the compassion or the tools to navigate these difficult parts of life if I hadn’t had walked this path.
Each week I equip women with practical tools to navigate life well through my blog!  To receive these tools directly to your inbox, click below!  And every Tuesday I’ll send you a new tool for your tool box of life!
I also have an online Bible study where I walk you step-by-step through your own chapter.  In this study, you will learn how to embrace your God-written story.  I will share with you the tools I used to embrace my own story. And I will share with you stories from God’s Word of men and women like you who had a tough journey in life. Click below to join my community and learn more about the Online Study.

This is sooo great ! I’m a big fan !

  2. What a priviledge to your Moma. God is so good. He has given me such joy through you and our family. May he richly bless each writing with His chosen readers. May hearts be opened to hear the CREATOR speak to each individual reader that they may know Him and experience all that you so beautifully write about.

  9. Wow…oh my goodness…!! I have really enjoyed your blog as well as your website…I am truly blessed to have you in my life…as a friend, as a neighbor..and as a spiritual sister…I am so proud of you, and the work that you have chosen to do.

Who knew, the day that you came in that open house, and we met for the first time, just how wonderful it truly would be? I promised you then, that you could borrow eggs and sugar if you were to purchase that house…and along with the many times we have called on one another, I have gained so much. You are truly a beautiful soul, and I feel very blessed to know you.

  10. Hi Faith,
I will be praying that you can bring your program to Wichita too. I would slove to see you and listen to the message you would bring. Our band is playing for a relief for Haiti concert Sunday. We are excited that God opened the door for participation in this concert. I would love to send you a CD, can you send me your address? Tell Carl hi for me. When are the Dove Awards? Blessings, Marcia

Faith – Your Mom sent me the information about Carl’s new album. So I registered, but even if I don’t win, John and I will definitely go out and buy it. Congratulations on your marriage. It was very special to meet you and to get to know you at your grandma’s funeral. John and I have many wonderful memories of staying at their home and enjoying being with them. If you are ever in the Tucson area, please let us know, we would love to see you and Carl. A dear friend of ours just found out he has pancreatic cancer, so we are going to send him this CD, he is a believer and we are grateful for that. Love in Christ – Joan and John

  12. Hi Faith- I am a friend of Mela Kamin’s – I was there the day she and carl met (love love love him by the way! my entire family- huge fans!) Mela shared your link and I have been praying for your sweet little girl. I have a co-worker that is 20 weeks along with her first. She just found out she has Single Umbilical Artery which can cause genetic problems, most frequently kidneys to the baby. Is anything like what you experienced? She goes in for another ultrasound Friday the 1st. Please keep her in your prayers and if you have m=any suggestions, we would love to hear from you. You know, with all that extra time you have 😉
Much love from SUNNY (& soggy) Minnesota, Gina

    Hey Gina 🙂

Thanks for the kind words and support of my wonderful hubby 🙂 We appreciate it. Also, thanks for the prayers for JL. She is doing great and recovering quickly. I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I actually didn’t know that JL had a kidney issue until the day before she was born. I was not diagnosed with anything, they doctors simply saw her kindey was enlarged on the ultrasound. I wish I had more advice for your friend. And I’m sorry to hear about the complications she is facing. I will definitely be praying for her and her doctors. When I knew that Janie’s kidney was enlarged I just kept clinging to Psalm 139. I knew that God knit her together this way for a purpose {whether we will know that purpose this side of heaven, I don’t know}, and I trusted that because He knit her together and created her, He would know best how to heal her. He chose to use doctors and surgeons to heal JL. Let me know if I can be of any help to your friend. I will be praying for her. Please keep me updated on her progress.

    Thanks so much!!

    Faith
