Today is a new day for our family!
Four months ago today, Gracie Jewel was born! Over the past four months we have taken several action steps in following God's next step for our lives. After much prayer, we put our house in Nashville on the market, and God immediately provided a buyer. We had an offer the second day and it was under contract within five days! Next God provided a house for us in Glendale, AZ. So we said goodbye to friends and loved ones. I held my last small group Bible study with ladies I had grown to love over the past four years. And nine days ago the movers came, we closed on our house in Nashville and started the four day journey across the country! The girls were troopers!
As the mover's were finishing loading the truck, a spring storm popped up; and we lost electricity! As we drove out of town that night I looked at Carl and said, “God literally shut the lights off on that chapter of our lives.”
On our way here we got to see family and even had an opportunity to stop by my Grandpa's farm! My girls got to meet their new cousin Tiana and other extended family members for the first time. It was a welcomed break from sitting in the car.
We arrived in Phoenix Sunday night and have spent the last week with Carl's parents. It has been a great week. The girls are loving being with Grandpa Steve and Grammy Lou. Janie Lou loves swimming and dancing! Gracie smiles all the time and giggles when she gets excited.
And now, after a whirlwind month, the moving truck will be pulling up to our new house in a few hours, and a new chapter will begin. We are excited about living near family and all that God has in store for us here in The Valley of the Sun. We are anxious to get plugged into a new church and make new friends.
Throughout this journey, we have seen God provide for us again and again. I am overwhelmed by His love and care for us. He has lavished us with His grace and mercy.
I can't wait to share with you the lessons I learn on this new adventure!
God is continually at work in the lives of His children. I'd live to hear about what He is up to in your life!
