Quick Update

Hey Friends! I just wanted to let you know that I am one week away from being finished at my current job.  I am excited to spend more time blogging when I am finished working.  Thanks for being patient during this transition process.

This week I have been training my replacement.  She is amazing and will do an amazing job.  I am excited to know that I am leaving my responsibilities to a hard-working girl who loves Jesus.

I have had so many thoughts about leaving my job.  I am excited and scared all at the same time!  I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and pursuing the desires that God has put on my heart.  But I am also a little anxious about not having a defined “job.”  I have been “working” since second grade when my sister and brother and I got our first paper route.  My responsibilities included delivering six papers on one block. My reward was being able to go to local corner grocery store and buying brightly colored bubble gum without my mom’s permission. {Don’t worry she knows about that now.}  Ever since then, I have had a paying job…and at one point following college I had six jobs at the same time.  My dad’s life defines impeccable work ethic, and he demanded this of us when we worked for him during various times in our lives.  Thank you, Dad, for teaching me to value my employer and to truly work at my job with all my heart.

So as I step away from a 9-5 job and into a new kind of freedom,  I must admit I am a little nervous.  I love the sense of accomplishment that comes at the end of the day when most of my list has been completed and highlighted.  My prayer is that I will continue to work at life with all my heart-to live each day for Christ and to make the most of each moment.

This is a huge step for me.  Thank you for walking this road with me.

I’d love to know about you.

What is God asking you to do right now that is making you a little nervous?  Are you excited, scared, etc.???

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great rest of your week!
