Encouragement & Hope Thanksgiving

Janie Lou says “Thank You!”

Hi, Everybody,

Janie Lou here.  Mommy said today I could be a guest blogger on her blog.  Thanks, Mommy!

I just wanted to say “Thank You” to all of you for praying for me during my surgery.  The doctors successfully removed my right kidney and then sewed me back up.  I stayed the night at the hospital and was only cranky a little bit. My mommy and daddy said I am a very brave little girl.  Daddy said he would have cried a lot more than me if he would have had to have his kidney taken out.

We came home on Tuesday, and Mommy and I took a LONG nap!  Mommy was as tired as me! {smile}  Daddy tried to take a nap with us, but he had too much coffee before we left the hospital.  Wednesday morning when I woke up I was smiling and talking to Mommy.  I played with Daddy and laughed with him, too.  Thursday I woke up in the best mood!  Mommy and I read lots of books in the morning.  Daddy and Mommy and I spent the WHOLE day together!  It was the best!  Then in the afternoon I realized that my side was a little sore, so I was kinda cranky.  But Mommy told me it was ok to be cranky because it is the only way to tell her that I am in pain.  So I got a little bit of medicine to make me feel better, and then Mommy rocked me til I went to sleep.

I slept really good last night and feel better this morning.  Tonight I get to take a bath again!  I love baths and have been missing them this week.  I can’t wait to sing the bath time song with Mommy and splash in the water!  It’s going to be lots of fun.

God listened to all of your prayers and made me all better.  Thanks so much for praying for me.  I hope one day I get to meet each one of you.  If you ever meet me, please be sure to tell me that you prayed for me during my surgery.  I really really really appreciate it.  If you were here I would give you a big hug and a slobbery kiss.  {Mommy says they are the best.}

Well, it’s time for my first nap of the day!  So I gotta run.  Thanks again everybody!

God is so good.

God is so good.

God is so good.

He’s so good to me.

He answers prayers.

He answers prayers.

He answers prayers.

He’s so good to me.

Night night,

Janie Lou
