Nashville Needs Your Support

Hey, Friends,

I know it has been WAY to long since I’ve posted, and I will begin blogging again soon.  But for today, I just wanted to ask for your prayers for our wonderful hometown, Nashville, TN.  Since there hasn’t been much attention to Nashville from the national media, you may not know how bad it truly is here.  Nashville has been declared as a national disaster area.  And the damage and loss can’t be described in words…pictures don’t even do it justice.  Carl and I made it thru the flood without any water in our home, but many others were not as blessed as we were.  Many have lost loved ones, home, cars, precious memories and more.  If you are looking for a way to help here in Nashville please look into giving to Hope Force International.  I am blessed to call the people of Hope Force my personal friends.  They are a Disaster Relief organization, and they are all lovers of Jesus.  They not only help clean up after a disaster, but they also invest in people’s souls while helping them get back on their feet.  They are always committed to a long term response.  And because they are headquarted here in Nashville, they have already gotten their hands dirty assisting flood victims.  Please check out their website at www.hopeforce.org.  In addition to raising funds for disaster areas, Hope Force is hands-on in helping rebuild communities.  If you would like to be trained as a reservist so that you can join their team in responding to disaster, please check the website for various training location across the country. Let me know if you want any information that you can’t find on the website and I’ll see what I can do to answer any of your questions.  Please pray for the families in my community who have suffered such a tremendous loss this week.  Please pray that God will be glorified thru this and that as the Nashville body of Christ serves our community that people will come to know the one who can save their souls and bring peace to a life of disaster.  Also, please pray about donating whatever you can as many who lost everything have no flood insurance to help them start the process of rebuilding their lives.

Thanks for being a part of my life and thank you for supporting those in need in Nashville.

God bless,

Faith Herrgesell

PS…please forward this to any friends who may want to join you in praying for our community.  Thanks!
